Dirty Maggie Mae - The Beatles . The mural was painted at Lock and Key Hotel in Liverpool by Paul Curtis Maggie Mae was a famous prostitute who plied her trade around Lime Street. She was immortalised in the song, Maggie Mae (not the Rod Stewart song), which is a traditional shanty/skiffle number in Liverpool.
The song was partially recorded by The Beatles and appears on their Let it Be album. .
