Venue: Scruffy Murphy’s, Harrington Street, Liverpool
Date: Wed 19th November 2025
Time: 7:00pm start

Join Paul Curtis, one of Liverpool’s best-known street artists, for a relaxed and entertaining evening exploring the world of street art and the stories behind his murals.
Paul’s work can be found all over Merseyside and beyond, brightening up walls and capturing the spirit of the places they inhabit. In this multimedia presentation and chat, Paul will share the fascinating process behind creating large-scale murals, along with the many anecdotes that come from working in public spaces — cherry pickers to street winos, altercations to red-tape frustrations!
This isn’t a stuffy lecture — expect a laid-back, informal atmosphere, where you can grab a drink, enjoy some laughs, and ask questions throughout the evening.
The event will include:🖌️
Part One (approx. 1 hour): Paul’s journey into street art — how it all began, how his style evolved, and a look at some highlights from his ever-growing portfolio.🎨
Part Two (approx. 45 minutes): A behind-the-scenes look at how street art is created — tips, techniques, do’s and don’ts, and lessons learned along the way.
Both talks will be supported by a lively PowerPoint-style presentation (think Dave Gorman rather than Dave from Accounts), with plenty of images and short videos that bring Paul’s creative process to life.
After the presentations, there’ll be time to chat and ask questions over a drink.
ACCESIBILITY: This is a basement bar, there is a flight of stairs to descend to get into the venue.
AGE RESTICTIONS: This is a bar, normal restrictions apply to purchasing alcoholic drinks. No children are allowed, but those aged 14 and over are permitted to attend if accompanied by an adult.
Come along, relax, and enjoy an evening of art, stories, and insights from one of Liverpool’s best known creatives!
