POOL OF LIFE

Pool of Life features the iconic Liver Birds, Bertie and Bella, standing proudly, gazing out toward the sea and the city, as the legend goes.

They are the guardians of the Pool of Life, a concept inspired by Carl Jung’s description of Liverpool.  Jung famously saw the city as a place rich in energy and transformation, and this mural captures that spirit of the city.

The copper oxide green of the Liver Birds contrasts beautifully with the raw, brick-red wall, creating a striking visual balance.

Painted at the courtyard of new student flats in Oldham Place (near Renshaw Street).
