Aim: A fundraiser to cover the costs of a memorial street art mural in Anfield for Diogo Jota and Andre Silva, and raise money for a charity.

For those not frequent visitors to Paul's website, or those not familiar with Paul's artwork, Paul is a Scouse street artist with a portfolio of over 250 public artworks, including many LFC murals (funded by local businesses). Some will know that Paul is a regular visitor at Anfield and lives just a couple of miles from the ground
Paul was asked to kick-start a project to paint a mural in Anfield to commemorate Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva. A post by Sir Kenneth Daglish Stand seems to indicate that there is a real desire to make this happen, and so this project is 100% fan-funded. Permission for a wall to be painted has already been secured, with painting starting in the coming days.
The aim of this crowdfunding was not only to raise money to cover the costs of the mural, but also to donate as much as we can to charities which we supported through Jota. When the initial post went out announcing the mural, the goal of raising £2000 was exceeded within 35 minutes. At the time of writing, the donation pot is currently up to £25,000. If you can help out, please make a pledge. If things are a bit tight, you can still help by sharing this blog post. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
In designing a mural, there are many things which any street artist has to consider:
• Available source photos – quality, clarity, dimensions (there are not many photos of Andre online)
• Dimensions of the wall – Will the image fit well? Are there features such as windows, drains, etc, which need to be planned around
• Aesthetics – often less is more – a cluttered mural looks messy, so sometimes Paul can’t include everything. Ultimately, a good artwork is better than a checklist.
The image below is the site where the mural will be painted.

How we’ll spend the money raised
The money will be used to cover the costs of the mural, including the hire of a cherry picker and the costs of materials. If we exceed these costs, then the extra money raised will go to a charity (we are trying to find out what Diogo's chosen charities are at the moment).
Community impact
The death of Diogo and his brother, Andre, has shocked the football world. The feeling of loss and grief in Liverpool is strong, and the LFC fans feel like we have lost one of our own. For that reason, we feel there is a real appetite to remember Diogo J in a tribute from the fans.
How can you play your part?
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
A huge thanks to everyone who has donated so far, LFC fans and extended football family.
